Time to finish another "primed and dusted" kit. I had this kit prime for couple years already. After the diorama rush, I want to use this kit to try a new technique I learned from another forum.
I did some stupid mod on the shoulder shield ages ago :em309: but now I decide to convert back to OOB state.
The kit was originally primed in Tamiya fine primer which is white in color. Now I re-prime it Mr surfacer 1200.
(great stuff, BTW). In the end, some of the Mr Surfacer grey color will be seen.
Mix a light greenish grey color with white (XF-2) and grey (XF-19) and a olive green I had from before.
I will be using mostly a sponge to dab the color. A beat up brush is also used.
First layer done. I leave some of the primer color in.
Mix a red brown color as the rust mark. Then dabbed and brushed the rust mark randomly.
I think I over do it. And it doesn't look very natural. I hope I can fix it at the next stage.
