I got this 1/200 NICHIMO Macross Armored Valkyrie VF-1J from Dinning. It has 2 kits in it. I decided to take one and do a super deformed modification.
Test fitting. It looks quite SD already.
Use the spare head from my Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1S, which came with the 1S, 1A and 1J heads. The big head fit quite nicely.
As this kit has very little articulation, I need to add ball joints. These joints are made from cable ties I got from Japanese dollar store in Tinseltown. Polycaps are from 1/144 gunpla.
That's about it tonight. I still need to add ten or more joints. Without the joint mods, it can only do retarded poses.
And I will widen the forearms and legs to get a better SD proportion. Thighs may need to be shortened. And the feet are embarrassingly small (even for normal proportion). I am hoping to get the gundam converge style.
